But, they received very little attention from the news media.
For example, on the same week-end as Operation Gratitude, anti-war protesters marched on the Pentagon and received huge, widespread coverage throughout the United States. However, the nationwide parades, rallies, vigils and other shows of support for our fighting men – involving hundreds of thousands in just the New York City metropolitan area alone – were little reported outside the places where they occurred.
